Blooming Blueberry Plants

Visitors and Support Workers often say how good my garden looks, and when my sister went out and told me that my blueberry plant was flowering I was thrilled. As part of my pleasure in gardening is waiting for my plants to flower.

I then got my sister to check my other blueberry plant too, and sure enough that has got flowers on it too.

Then as most blueberry plants cross pollenate that is why I have two in my garden and I now have both of these plants in self watering containers.

As not long ago I got a support worker to repot one of them as one wasn’t doing as well.

The support worker that helps me with my garden suggested that I look up how to care for blueberry plants on the internet. So, I found out that I needed to add some peat moss and pine bark mulch.

I’m also extremely pleased that they are both flowering, and now have looked up how much water blueberry plants need.

The Stern Chase

This John Flanagan book is number nine in The Brotherband series, and after a night out to celebrate an engagement Erak rang the town bell. As the next morning while he was out on his early morning walk Erak discovered two of his men who he knew were on duty last night were now dead.

He also discovered that all of the Wolfships that were moored were vandalized and that his ship called Wolfwind was missing and so that is why he raised the alarm.

The residents came straight away upon hearing the bell to find out what had happen and as they saw that two murders etc were done during the night Hal began to worry about his own ship and rushed to his boatshed where his newly rebuilt boat called Heron was.

Fortunately, his boat was still there and so his brotherband called The Herons then had to track down Wolfwind.

Although no one had any idea who had taken Wolfwind at first, nor where they went.

Until Hal remembered something that another person from another country had said. Hal also remembered that this person’s colleagues were rather desperate to prevent this guy from saying more and this book was quite enjoyable to read.

The Story Of Painting: How Art Was Made

This book has no one down as the author but is published by Dorling Kindersley and the book’s foreword was written by Andrew Graham-Dixon. The book gives a history of art from around the world.

As I found out that the symbolic meaning of the use of red ochre in Australian Aboriginal art is a closely guarded secret. Also some of the colors that were used on the Egyptian tombs had symbolic associations too. Then one example is a color called Egyptian Blue which is linked to The River Nile, plants, and the heavens.

While green that is made a certain way is linked too eternal life prosperity, and a god named Osiris. Then the color red that is also made a certain way is linked to the sun, power, and life force.

I also discovered that the Greeks were the first to use mathematics in their artworks as this helped them with size and proportions.
