Busy Buzzers

This audiobook is by Nancy Loewen and is written for young children. Though the information it contains about bees is useful for older readers too.

Such as, not all bees live in colonies and that worker bees are females that look after the eggs that are laid by the Queen. Also, each beehive is made from the wax from bees and each beehive has one Queen Bee.

Then if other Queen Bees are born, they are either killed off by the original Queen Bee. Or they are taken away to form other colonies. Then the bees that collect the pollen can loosen the pollen by vibrating their wings.

As that what makes their buzzing sound.

Also, the pollen they collect just attaches to their legs, which enables the bees to fertilize the plants, or they give the pollen they collect to their young.
