Garden Wigglers

This short audiobook by Nancy Loewen and Rick Peterson, is packed with loads of information about earthworms, and is an ideal story for kids: or older people who are interested in natural things, that can help gardens maintain its health.

As the audiobook explains things about the earthworm’s anatomy. Such as earthworms breathe through their skin as they don’t have lungs. They also don’t have ears, eyes, or teeth and that they require water to stay alive.

Although if an area floods, or a garden receives too much watering the earthworms can drown. As if soils become too, wet we may then see earthworms, make an appearance above the surface as they need to look for somewhere else, to go.

Red Capsicums Stuffed with Turkey Mince

Ingredients:

3 red capsicums

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 pkt of turkey mince

1/2 cup of brown rice

1/2 cup of green or brown lentils

3/4 cup of pasta sauce

1/4 cup of chopped parsley

1/2 cup of grated parmesan

1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese

Method:

1 Cook the rice and lentils together in a saucepan. As when these two ingredients are mixed together, they provide all of the amino acids.

2 Cut the tops off of the three red capsicums and deseed then add one tablespoon of olive oil and when it’s heated then add the turkey and cook.

3. Then add the cooked rice and lentils, pasta sauce, and parsley, then the parmesan. Then mix well before spooning the meat mixture into the prepared red capsicums.

4 Next, sprinkle over the mozzarella and put them on a tray lined with baking paper in a one hundred, and eighty, degree, oven until the mozzarella is melted and the red capsicums are cooked.

My Favourite Ways of Exercising

When I was going to a gym to exercise, I liked going on the recumbent bike and I also liked going on the rowing machine.

I also liked exercising, my arms, and did boxing exercises too.

I have decided to do my exercises at home rather than go to the gym, and so plan to keep riding the recumbent bike and row on the rowing machine. Dad is going to put handles on the bike so that I can get on it more easily.

My sister also has got me into going on YouTube and doing seated aerobics with Paul Eugene and Brian Syuki also gives very good workouts.

Although the Brain Syuki workout that I saw wasn’t for people in wheelchairs, but I tried to do what I could and have just tried zumba which was done sitting on seats.
