Did Professor Snape Know?

Lately, I been thinking about this storyline in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince where Albus Dumbledore tells Professor Snape that Harry has a Horcrux inside him. So, he tells Professor Snape that Harry must die. Harry’s death was also foretold by the Centaurs but then all they would tell Hagrid was that “Mars was bright tonight.”

Albus Dumbledore also told Professor Snape that when he sees that Voldemort is protecting Nagini that it’ll be the ideal time to tell Harry what he needed to know.

Professor Snape also tried very hard to find Harry near the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows too.

Then in the book version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Professor Snape sees Professor McGonagall in the corridor and he asks her if she has seen Harry Potter.

Professor McGonagall answered Professor Snape by attempting to attack him but he doesn’t fight her, and he leaves Hogwarts.

She yells out to Professor Snape then that he’s a coward and it was also her that used the Imperious Curse to capture, the Callows or Carrows.

Professor Snape also told the school that he had heard that Harry Potter was spotted in Hogsmeade and asked if anyone had any information.

Also, Professor Snape still wanted to find Harry when Professor Snape was with Voldemort especially when he realized that Voldemort had Nagini protected.

Professor Snape was then bitten by Nagini after Voldemort gave the order to kill and also after he had explained to Severus Snape his doubts about The Elder Wand.

Then Harry appeared after Voldemort left and Professor Snape wanted Harry to look at him and Professor Snape told Harry what Albus Dumbledore told him.

Which was years ago now, and that was that Harry had his, Mother’s eyes and then Professor Snape gave Harry his memories.

Hermione then came out of hiding too and gave Harry a flask to put them in.

Though what comes to my mind is perhaps Professor Snape didn’t know all of Albus Dumbledore’s plans.

As Professor Snape knew that the headmaster was giving Harry private lessons, but he didn’t know what these private lessons were about.

Until Albus Dumbledore had explained that Harry had a horcrux inside him and that he had to be killed. However, Albus Dumbledore knew something of The Deathly Hallows and The Tale of the Three Brothers.

Perhaps Professor Snape knew of this story too but maybe he didn’t believe in The Deathly Hallows? Also, one of the things that Grindelwald and Albus tried to do together was to find the Deathly Hallows as Grindelwald was interested in The Elder Wand.

While Albus Dumbledore admitted years later that he was interested in finding The Stone that was in The Tale of the Three Brothers story.

Then for some unknown reason Harry’s Father gave Albus Dumbledore his invisibility cloak. As when the headmaster examined it, he realized that the cloak was a hallow and gave the cloak to Harry.

Albus Dumbledore fought Grindelwald to claim The Elder Wand but the fact that Grindelwald then Albus Dumbledore had The Elder Wand was kept secret as no one knew.

The headmaster also kept a close eye on Tom Riddle after Hagrid was expelled. He also did whatever he could to find out about Tom Riddle’s past and what he was doing now.

Then why Harry had to take the risk by facing The Avada Kadava Curse as like venom from a basilisk it was the only way to get rid of the horcrux inside Harry. Though Harry, Hermione, and Ron discovered after they got out of The Room of Requirement that Fiendfyre destroys horcuxes too. I also happen to think too that until Harry had made the decision to face The Avada Kadava Curse:

That not even Albus Dumbledore knew that Harry Potter would survive the killing curse a second time.

Also, Mr Ollivander told Harry when they met the first time that the wand chooses, the wizard though it isn’t clear why.

Then when they met again, Harry asked Mr Ollivander whether it was necessary to kill a wizard to claim ownership of their wand and Mr Ollivander told him no.

Also, the fact that Harry asked this question to Mr Ollivander makes me think that Harry must’ve been worried that he had to do that.

He also must’ve felt relieved to find out that he didn’t have to kill Voldemort and when Harry finally faced Voldemort for the last time:

Harry knew that The Elder Wand wasn’t working for Voldemort. As even though Voldemort was using it he could not harm Harry.

What Did Happen to Draco Malfoy?

There are some people that think that Draco Malfoy might have been turned into a werewolf, but Harry Potter saw Draco go into Borgin and Burkes. As he saw that the shopkeeper and Draco were discussing something, but Harry wasn’t close enough to hear.

However, Harry did see Draco show the shopkeeper something that was on one of his arms. Perhaps to show the shopkeeper who he was dealing with?

Could Harry be right about Draco becoming a death eater?

As really, I can’t imagine even if Draco Malfoy said that his family were friends with Fenrir Greyback that werewolves would bite their victims on the arm. As when Bill Weasley was attacked, he was mauled in the face by Fenrir Greyback.

As in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Bill was trying to protect the students at Hogwarts.

Then the fact that Bill’s face was mauled makes me question whether Draco really was bitten by a werewolf.

As perhaps Harry’s theory about Draco becoming a death eater is right? As we know that Voldemort places his dark mark on his, followers which are called death eaters, arm.

Then as it turned out Voldemort had set Draco the task of fixing the damaged vanishing cabinet and when he was finally successful other death eaters then arrived through the vanishing cabinet as there was two. As the other vanishing cabinet was at Borgin and Burkes.

Voldemort also wanted Draco to be the one that killed Albus Dumbledore. Although Draco had succeeded in disarming Dumbledore of the Elder Wand Draco didn’t know about the Elder Wand. Or the fact that Albus Dumbledore ended up with it after Albus had defeated Grindelwald and at the time Voldemort didn’t know either and nor did Ollivander the wand maker.

As Voldemort decided to kidnap Olivander in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows so that he could question him about wands.

Harry also went to Arthur Weasley and told Arthur that he thinks Draco has become a death eater, but Arthur Weasley told Harry that Voldemort wouldn’t use a kid.

I can also imagine what Harry thought of Arthur Weasley reply as Harry told Arthur who knows what Voldemort would and would not do.

Then Harry tried telling his headmaster and Albus Dumbledore couldn’t or wouldn’t tell Harry yes Harry I know as I told Professor Snape to help Draco.

Then perhaps the reason why Albus reacted that way is because Albus would’ve definitely wanted Harry to focus on what he and Albus were discussing in the private lessons.

Though Albus Dumbledore was aware that Draco has been trying to kill him and when Draco had Albus, up on the tower and the headmaster kept the discussion going for Harry’s benefit maybe? Albus then realize that Draco was taking too long and so the headmaster told Draco that he wasn’t a killer.

Also, Professor Snape did try to help Draco. As Professor Snape told Draco that he had made an unbreakable vow to Draco’s Mum.

I also think that Professor Snape and Albus Dumbledore was aware of what happened to Draco.

As Albus Dumbledore did offer to remove whatever was on Draco’s arm before Professor Snape arrived to save Draco by killing Albus Dumbledore.

As Harry later on discovered in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that his headmaster’s death was planned.

As Professor Snape left a memory for Harry in the headmaster’s office and also Voldemort told Lucius Malfoy that Draco didn’t turn up with the others when he had pressed the dark mark.

So, I suppose because Draco didn’t turn up when Voldemort expected him to, proves to some people that Draco wasn’t a death eater. Though maybe the reason why Draco had decided to not turn up as in the end he decided to defy, Lord Voldemort which is what his, Mother did too when she asked Harry is Draco still alive?

As Harry was able to tell her that Draco was.

The Peculiar Behavior of The Dursleys

Another interesting theory that I’ve come across recently and it’s to do with Harry as well as the Dursleys is that a probable reason for the Dursleys to behaved so badly towards Harry is because Harry had a horcrux inside him.

Albus Dumbledore was the one who made the connection about Voldemort having made a horcrux after what he heard Harry tell him about what happen in The Chamber of Secrets in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Then later on, in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Albus and Harry realized that Voldemort had made horcruxes.

As Harry was finally successful at retrieving the original untampered memory from Horace Slughorn in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Albus also guessed correctly that Harry had a piece of Voldemort’s soul inside him sometime after it was discovered that Harry could speak and understand parsel tongue.

Although before Harry showed his headmaster the destroyed Tom Riddle’s diary and explained how Fawkes came to him etc…

Harry’s headmaster just thought the reason why Harry could speak and understand parsel tongue which is the language of snakes is because:

Voldemort transferred some of his powers to Harry when Voldemort tried to kill him. As this discovery about Harry was made in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

As Albus Dumbledore told Harry then that speaking and understanding parsel tongue was things that Voldemort could do.

Albus then said to Harry that Voldemort had transferred some of his powers to him (Harry).

Harry also wasn’t aware about this horcrux or horcruxes until Albus Dumbledore started talking to him about horcruxes when Albus was giving Harry private lessons.

As the headmaster knew in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince that there were things about Voldemort and the horcruxes that he knew that Harry needed to know.

Harry’s headmaster had also advised Harry that he should only tell what he had learnt about in his private lessons with him to Ron and Hermione.

As Albus Dumbledore realized that Harry’s two best friends will be helping him as they have done on numerous occasions.

Also, Albus Dumbledore might have had his suspicions about the Dursleys behavior towards Harry. As he and The Order of The Phoenix was aware that the Dursleys treated Harry badly while Harry was in their care.

Though perhaps Dumbledore felt powerless because Harry had to go back to the Dursleys to strengthen his, Mother’s magic.

Although it was revealed that Mrs Figg who was a squib and a neighbor of the Dursleys and Harry’s and she had a way to communicate to Albus Dumbledore.

Also, maybe Albus Dumbledore was doing something about it but at times may had felt that his hands were tied. Then getting back to horcruxes this may be true. As Ron had explained in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows how the horcrux affected him. Dumbledore also told Harry what happen to his hand in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Some theories of fans of the Harry Potter series even had suggested the Dursley’s nasty behavior towards Harry could be unnatural.

Then I think maybe and maybe not. As Lord Voldemort or The Dark Lord was unaware that there was a horcrux inside Harry and that Vernon Dursley and his sister Marge seemed to judge people and Petunia liked to eavesdrop on her neighbors.

Vernon and Petunia were always worried about what their neighbours would think if they found out that Harry was a wizard.

As Vernon and Petunia Dursley didn’t want Harry to go to Hogwarts and they always tried discouraging Harry from asking them any questions.

As Harry asked them how, did he get the scar on his forehead? Vernon and Petunia also lied when they told their nephew that his parents died in a car crash.

Hagrid thought that was a scandal Vernon and Petunia also liked to blame Harry if anything unusual or unexpected happened.

Though Dudley suddenly became nicer to Harry sometime after Harry saved him when a dementor appeared. However, Harry’s Aunt Petunia seemed to be thinking of saying good-bye to Harry when the Dursleys were leaving to go to their safe house.

However, neither his, aunt nor uncle were that emotional, but Dudley asked his, Father as they were leaving why isn’t Harry coming?

I also came across a theory about Aunt Petunia and the theory claims that she had kept the blue blanket that Harry was wrapped in when he was a baby until the day she died.

So, this suggests that she may have felt some grief for Harry? As perhaps they never saw one, another again.

Petunia also wrote a letter to Albus Dumbledore when she was a kid as she wanted to go to Hogwarts too and this had led people to think what if Petunia was a witch.

Though she couldn’t go as she wasn’t able to do magic, but perhaps she got an owl to take the letter she wrote to Albus Dumbledore?

As even though she couldn’t do magic she was aware that there was magic, and a magical world.

Although she pretended that it didn’t exist.

Also, perhaps why Petunia wrote the letter is because she knew how proud her parents were of Lily and the rejection made Petunia call her younger sister a freak.

Then another reason for why Petunia was the way she was with Harry is because she might’ve blamed Harry for things, he had no control of like the deaths of her parents.

The Deputy Headmistress Minerva McGonagall was appalled with the idea that Harry was going to live with the Dursleys. As she didn’t seem to approve of what she saw of Petunia and Dudley.

She also told Albus Dumbledore that the Dursleys wouldn’t understand Harry. Though Albus answered her by saying the Dursleys are the only family he has.

Then why he said that is because Albus Dumbledore might’ve guessed that the reason why Harry didn’t die is because Harry’s Mum had died for him.

He also told Severus Snape that Voldemort could come back. Albus Dumbledore also told Harry much later in the series that Voldemort is aware of this magic and despises it.

He also said to Harry that Voldemort doesn’t understand the power of love and he also said that he (Harry) possesses this power.

Although I think Harry was confused with Albus Dumbledore’s revelation at the time.
