Genevieve Cogman

Genevieve Cogman lives in England and has wrote, a very enjoyable series of books.

I also happen to think that her The Invisible Library Series has succeeded in making the occupation of what it means to be a librarian very, intriguing.

A River Not Yet Tamed

This audiobook is by Nancy Cato, and the story is about a teenaged girl who is sent to live with her aunt and uncle in Australia and her name, is Philadelphia Gordon.

Though she likes being called Delphi, her aunt also found out from Delphi’s father that before Delphi got to Australia, she was marooned somewhere with a man named Tom.

As her aunt questions her about it and Tom appears later in the story, as he brought a steamboat, that he had decided to rename, Philadelphia.

This is because Philadelphia had given him fifty pounds so that Tom could finish paying off the boat he had brought.
