Lately, I been thinking about this storyline in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince where Albus Dumbledore tells Professor Snape that Harry has a Horcrux inside him. So, he tells Professor Snape that Harry must die. Harry’s death was also foretold by the Centaurs but then all they would tell Hagrid was that “Mars was bright tonight.”
Albus Dumbledore also told Professor Snape that when he sees that Voldemort is protecting Nagini that it’ll be the ideal time to tell Harry what he needed to know.
Professor Snape also tried very hard to find Harry near the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows too.
Then in the book version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Professor Snape sees Professor McGonagall in the corridor and he asks her if she has seen Harry Potter.
Professor McGonagall answered Professor Snape by attempting to attack him but he doesn’t fight her, and he leaves Hogwarts.
She yells out to Professor Snape then that he’s a coward and it was also her that used the Imperious Curse to capture, the Callows or Carrows.
Professor Snape also told the school that he had heard that Harry Potter was spotted in Hogsmeade and asked if anyone had any information.
Also, Professor Snape still wanted to find Harry when Professor Snape was with Voldemort especially when he realized that Voldemort had Nagini protected.
Professor Snape was then bitten by Nagini after Voldemort gave the order to kill and also after he had explained to Severus Snape his doubts about The Elder Wand.
Then Harry appeared after Voldemort left and Professor Snape wanted Harry to look at him and Professor Snape told Harry what Albus Dumbledore told him.
Which was years ago now, and that was that Harry had his, Mother’s eyes and then Professor Snape gave Harry his memories.
Hermione then came out of hiding too and gave Harry a flask to put them in.
Though what comes to my mind is perhaps Professor Snape didn’t know all of Albus Dumbledore’s plans.
As Professor Snape knew that the headmaster was giving Harry private lessons, but he didn’t know what these private lessons were about.
Until Albus Dumbledore had explained that Harry had a horcrux inside him and that he had to be killed. However, Albus Dumbledore knew something of The Deathly Hallows and The Tale of the Three Brothers.
Perhaps Professor Snape knew of this story too but maybe he didn’t believe in The Deathly Hallows? Also, one of the things that Grindelwald and Albus tried to do together was to find the Deathly Hallows as Grindelwald was interested in The Elder Wand.
While Albus Dumbledore admitted years later that he was interested in finding The Stone that was in The Tale of the Three Brothers story.
Then for some unknown reason Harry’s Father gave Albus Dumbledore his invisibility cloak. As when the headmaster examined it, he realized that the cloak was a hallow and gave the cloak to Harry.
Albus Dumbledore fought Grindelwald to claim The Elder Wand but the fact that Grindelwald then Albus Dumbledore had The Elder Wand was kept secret as no one knew.
The headmaster also kept a close eye on Tom Riddle after Hagrid was expelled. He also did whatever he could to find out about Tom Riddle’s past and what he was doing now.
Then why Harry had to take the risk by facing The Avada Kadava Curse as like venom from a basilisk it was the only way to get rid of the horcrux inside Harry. Though Harry, Hermione, and Ron discovered after they got out of The Room of Requirement that Fiendfyre destroys horcuxes too. I also happen to think too that until Harry had made the decision to face The Avada Kadava Curse:
That not even Albus Dumbledore knew that Harry Potter would survive the killing curse a second time.
Also, Mr Ollivander told Harry when they met the first time that the wand chooses, the wizard though it isn’t clear why.
Then when they met again, Harry asked Mr Ollivander whether it was necessary to kill a wizard to claim ownership of their wand and Mr Ollivander told him no.
Also, the fact that Harry asked this question to Mr Ollivander makes me think that Harry must’ve been worried that he had to do that.
He also must’ve felt relieved to find out that he didn’t have to kill Voldemort and when Harry finally faced Voldemort for the last time:
Harry knew that The Elder Wand wasn’t working for Voldemort. As even though Voldemort was using it he could not harm Harry.
