This is the third book in the Medoran Chronicles series that Lynette Noni wrote and in this book: Alex is in Meya as she is doing some sort of test. As she wants to be trained so that she can fight like a Meyarin.

However, while doing the test she finds a draekon who she not only ends up bonding with which I think the story mentions was forbidden.

As Alex was a human.

The draekon called Zira that bonded with Alex also decides to take Alex with him and so she gets transported back in time as Zira came from the past.

His reason is because he could not only sense that danger was coming which was Aven and for some reason Aven wanted the Draekon.

Though another reason that Zira may have become aware of is because he had bonded with Alex, he would’ve known that Aven was her enemy too.

Also, their bonding meant that Zira and Alex could communicate with their thoughts to one another, and they could share memories as well.

Then one other thing that Alex discovers is that she could now understand any language that Zira knew which included Meyarin.

I also think that Alex must’ve had a past life in this story too.
